Some time ago, Timothy linked me a webpage where one person made a photograph and invited other people to post-process the picture the way they wanted it.
In analogy to this, Crahan (Thomas) started a similar project a few days ago. He supplied us with the untouched raw file and asked for our perception and adaption of the image.
I liked this idea a lot, downloaded the .DNG file and fired up my Photoshop immediately as I didn’t want to go post-processing with Raw Camera or Aperture.
The first steps I took were cropping, framing and cutting the picture. I didn’t want to touch the image itself by altering anything but levels, colours, curves. I did want to accentuate the warm weather and focus on the three people on the bench.
This is what I came up with, I hope you like it.

Thomas will collect all altered images in a few days and you will be able to see them on http://www.n00.be
If you want you can always grab the raw file and give a shot at it yourself. Have fun.

(***before you read this post I suggest you put on some music from either “Bonny M”or “The Dolly Dot’s” to get in the mood ***)
It’s been very busy the last two weeks, one of the reason I wasn’t able to post that much. But friday evening was a perfect moment for some relaxation (well some mind relaxation that is…).
Q-Music, one of Belgian leading radio makers, had it’s ‘Foute Party’ for the six year in a row. The party started out with people and has grown to a 13000 people party. Of that number, about 2/3 are dressed disco, flower power or as one of the YMCA guys … no wonder why they call it the ‘Foute Party’ (the wrong party).
It was hot and crazy, enjoying the music of the late sixties, seventies and some totally crazy hits of today and of coarse the life performances of ‘The Dolly Dots’, ‘Bonny M’ (yes Sonny is still alive … barely, I do wonder if that breast hair is still real, in fact mine wasn’t :p), ‘Peter-kom van dat dak af-Koelewijn’ and ‘Bart-kan het nog fouter-Kaëll’. Also, all of of the Q-Music employees did some playback acts, which were hilarious and so fun to see.
Naturally, we had to go ‘fout’ as well … and I can’t resist to share you the delightful evidence of that. Enjoy:
The Preparations:

The ‘Q-Music - Foute Party 2008′

Who’s your Daddy Cool, huh? Peace … out!

The first things that came to my mind when I saw this gadget was: “Yes the good old pong is back in a new design” and immediately after that “oh and what a brilliant poker table”.
Ok, I must admin a pong/poker table that costs about 7000 euro’s is a bit decadent but hey … old skool rokz!
Microsoft is developing this idea and concept since 2001 and it should finally be available by the end of this year. I can image boardrooms will benefit greatly of this medium, as well as hotel lobbies and ofcourse my own living room. The only thing is … will we be able to get used to look at a horizontally placed screen. We don’t watch TV from above too. Most of the times the practical side wins from the design side, let’s see who will win this time.
